7 Smart Ways WWE Can Bring Back Daniel Bryan

4. First Raw Episode Of 2015

The first Raw of the year is always a big show. The two weeks before it are usually lame because it’s during the Christmas/New Year’s period and nothing big ever happens. In 2015 the first Monday is January 5th and Corpus Christi, Texas is already booked for it. If WWE is smart, that day would be circled on the calendar as a big event. They could hype it up huge and say that Daniel Bryan is coming back to WWE that night. Advertise it for weeks. Make it seem like a big deal.
Four years ago in 2010, WWE made a big deal out of Bret Hart’s return on the first Raw of the year. He was not an active wrestler and it was an absence that was over 12 years long, but it was still done on the first Raw of the year because they know it’s a big show.
Part of the reason it’s considered a big episode every year is because once January hits, WWE fans are conditioned to think about the Royal Rumble at the end of that month. It’s also a show that’s not competing against the NFL because the NFL’s regular season ends in December, so there’s no Monday Night Football game on January 5th, 2015.
Bryan doesn’t have to wrestle on that show. All he has to do is cut a promo saying he’s back to WWE full time and he’s entering his name in the Royal Rumble. If they want to put him in a match that night or the week after then so be it, but all he would have to do is appear on that show. It would be an awesome sight to hear an arena filled with “yes” chants again.
