10 Wrestlers You Never Knew Were Dead 9

9. Crash Holly

The man born as Michael Lockwood competed briefly in the likes of APW and ECW before debuting for WWF in 1999 as Hardcore Holly’s cousin, Crash. The relationship was a strained one, and Crash got his fair share of beatings at the hands of his relative. Despite this, the Holly Cousins would enjoy reasonable success as a tag team, even beating the Rock N’ Sock Connection for the Tag Team Championship.
However, Crash is mostly remembered for his time in the Hardcore Division. Upon winning the Hardcore Title for the first time, the confident Holly declared that he would defend his title 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Basically, as long as a WWF referee was present, the Hardcore Title was on the line. This led to many scenes where Crash would get jumped in his hotel room, at the circus, at the baggage claim in airports, in a children’s funhouse, by everybody from referees to divas. His frequent narrow escapes earned him the nickname “The Houdini of Hardcore”
Crash would continue to work for the WWE until 2003 when he was released, competing briefly on the indie circuit. He died on November 6th that same year in the home of Stevie Richards. He had consumed bottles full of prescription medications and alcohol and choked on his own vomit. His death was officially ruled as a suicide.

    1. If it's all just a storyline, why are wrestlers being jumped on and bumped off for real??
