7. Ric Flair
As one of WWE’s oldest performers at 65, Ric Flair has been a legend of the industry for nearly half a century. He has looked like an old man for at least 20 of those years, so it’s little surprise that some unscrupulous people online have decided to spread rumours of the Nature Boy’s death.
In June 2013, reports appeared on a few fake news sites claiming that Flair had been killed in a single vehicle car accident on Route 80. Some of the sites that printed the story had disclaimers saying that they were satirical websites that should not be taken seriously, but the details were shared across forums and social media without that information.
Needless to say, Flair is still alive and still stylin’ and profilin’ on WWE programming. He has recently been appearing as a “legend” more regularly, including sharing a Hall of Fame panel with Hulk Hogan and Shawn Michaels on a recent episode of Monday Night Raw.
