4. Lance Cade

Lance McKnaught was an alumni of the Texas Wrestling Academy run by Shawn Michaels, trained at the same time as Paul London, Hernandez and Daniel Bryan. He spent time in WWE’s developmental territories before debuting as Garrison Cade in a match against Lance Storm on Sunday Night Heat. He soon formed a heel tag team with Mark Jindrak, and they were heavily involved in the Tag Team Title scene throughout 2004. Once they were separated due to the annual draft, however, Cade was bounced back down to developmental.

He then reappeared as Lance Cade in late 2005 with Trevor Murdoch as a team of rednecks, quickly winning the World Tag Team Titles. They would have brief feuds against the likes of the Hardy Boyz and DX before dissolving the team in 2008. He would ally himself with Chris Jericho for a short while, becoming a protégé of sorts, before being released from his contract in October that year for reasons unknown. He would appear briefly in the independent circuit before his death on August 13th, 2010. The cause of death was ruled as accidental, as mixed drugs complicated a cardiomyopathy. He was 29.
