10 Wrestlers You Never Knew Were Dead 3

3. Miss Elizabeth

Alright, technically she isn’t a wrestler, but we’ll allow it. Elizabeth Ann Hulette was born in Kentucky in 1960, and is fondly remembered by all wrestling fans as the valet for Macho Man Randy Savage. In a case of art imitating life, it was Randy who brought her into the limelight when they met at International Championship Wrestling. The year after their marriage, she was brought into the WWF as his manager. Throughout the mid ’80s, she was the typical damsel in distress, as the Macho Man’s opponents would either threaten her or make advances towards her, only to be beaten back by a protective Savage. Later on, she was the catalyst in the breakup of the team of Savage and Hulk Hogan, causing Savage to replace her as his manager. They would remain estranged onscreen until Wrestlemania 7, and their reunion still brings tears to the eyes of long time fans.
Sadly, real life doesn’t always match the storyline, and in 1992, Savage and Hulette divorced. They would later work together again in WCW, but Elizabeth would become an item, both onscreen and offscreen, with Lex Luger. Their relationship was not a happy one, as in April 2003 police were called to a domestic dispute at the home they shared, where they found her with two black eyes and a cut lip after Luger had struck her. Less than a month later, she died from a mix of vodka and painkillers in the same house.
