7 Smart Ways WWE Can Bring Back Daniel Bryan

2. Announced As A Royal Rumble Participant

Star power is what sells the Royal Rumble match. The name of the event is strong as well due to its history going back to 1988, but having big names in the Rumble match gives it that extra special feel. Fans love it because we know it only happens once per year. It’s the night where we count down to from ten to one like a bunch of sheep and spend an hour of our lives hoping for some kind of magical moment. If you’re a wrestling fan, you get it. If you’re not, you probably think we’re crazy and that’s okay too.
If Daniel Bryan is cleared to wrestle before 2014 ends then WWE has to think about whether it’s worthwhile to put him back in the ring in December or if they should wait until the 2015 Royal Rumble. They could do a storyline where they say that doctors won’t clear Bryan earlier in January, but two weeks before the Rumble it can be announced that he’s been cleared. Cue the anticipation.
Bryan would become an immediate favorite in the Rumble match. The expectation is that Roman Reigns is going to win since he’s in the middle of a Superman push where he’s not losing matches or made to look weak that often, at least not in one on one situations. When you think about it, though, there would be no better story than to have Bryan win. There’s no babyface that has more sympathy than him. Based on the fact that he weighs 200 pounds he’s one of the biggest underdogs too.
It would be cool to know that Bryan was in the Rumble. He’s somebody everybody wants to root for and see do well especially after the rough second half of 2014 that he’s had. However, that’s only the second smartest way to bring him back. There’s something else that would be even better.
