10 Incidents That Cost WWE Stars Their Big Push 7

7. Daniel Bryan Chokes Justin Roberts And Gets Fired

In 2014, Daniel Bryan is possibly the most popular pro-wrestler in the world, but back in 2010 it seemed like the former Bryan Danielson might never wrestle in WWE again.
In one of the most memorable endings to Monday Night Raw ever, the former NXT rookies crashed the John Cena/CM Punk main event and wrecked shop. They beat up both wrestlers, along with Luke Gallows at ringside, the commentary team, the timekeeper, and in Daniel Bryan’s case he ripped the shirt of ring announcer Justin Roberts, and choked him with his own tie.
Bryan had the support of much of the crowd, and the locker room and heading into SummerSlam 2010, an all-star team of WWE superstars needed one more member to take on The Nexus. When Daniel Bryan came out, the crowd erupted and Bryan proved he could hold his own next to WWE main-eventers in that match. In a few years, WWE would see him that way too.
